Common LVA Acronyms
GAMBLING:
PC - House Percentage (their percent advantage on a particular bet)
EV - Expected Value (the expected value of a coupon or matchplay, in dollars)
MP - Match Play (house matches your bet, up to a specified limit)
RFB - Room, food, and beverages comped (eat, drink, and be merry)
RFL - Room and food, limited beverage (eat, drink, and feel OK)
PC - Pit critter
PB - Pit boss (in charge of the critters)
SBF - Slow But Friendly (by egazing, applies to poor players who are tolerable 'cause they're nice)
BJ - Blackjack
DAS - Double after split (you can double down on after splitting)
DOA - Double on anything (you can double down on any two cards)
D 9-11 - Double down allowed on hard totals of 9,10,and 11 only
H17 - Hit soft 17 (dealer hits soft 17, disadvantage to player)
S17 - Stand on all 17's
RSA - Re-split aces (additional split allowed if given another ace on previously-split aces, advantage to player)
CSM - Continuous shuffle machine. An auto-shuffler where discards are immediately placed back in with the remaining decks. AKA continuous loss machine, chip sucking machine
VP - Video poker
FPVP - Full pay video poker (usually the best pay scale for the type of game you are playing)
Short pay - A reduced pay scale version of a standard VP game
DW - Deuces Wild
NSUD - Not-so-ugly-ducks (a slightly less than FP version of DW)
JOB - Jacks or Better
BP - Bonus Poker
DB - Double Bonus
DDB - Double Double Bonus
KBJW - Kings or Better Joker Wild
x/y (VP-type) - Pay-out for full house/flush, i.e. 9/6 JOB = FPJOB
RF - Royal Flush
4OAK - 4 of a kind, also called quads
PE - Pick'Em
x-Play - Multiple play, i.e. 3-play, 5-play, where you play several hands simultaneously
WW - WagerWorks (see Loelia's FAQ for more info). Basically defunct, now.

Queen of Comps - Jean Scott, author, AKA "The Queen" or "Jean", famous for her ability to extract maximum value from slot clubs, promotions, and casino coupons. (contributed by iam4nd)
POV - Pocket book of values (a big book of coupons provided to LVA subscribers. Worth it's weight in gold.)
LOL - Laugh out loud (my, you're a funny character)
LMAO - Laughing my a** off (stop it, you're killing me!)
ROFLMAO - Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off. (I'd be fired if I read this at work!)
IMHO - In my humble opinion
STBUTR? - Shouldn't this be under trip reports? (I just made this up, but a good reply to almost any post when You have nothing useful to add but want to chime in anyway)
* - Accolade to the best thread in recent memory
FUBAR - What happened to the Rio after Ha$$ah$ took over. (Contributed by vivalv)
